Criminals are bad folk. They’re naughty people who have broken the law and are generally rather unpleasant. But when they get caught, they have to have their mugshots taken and the interweb can bring us some of the finest comedy mugshots! Gawd bless the intertubes magical data delivery gnomes.

This is Mugshot Du Jour, a website dedicated to the finest (or not) mugshots of the criminals of today. Combine a few of the comedy photographs with the excellent, sometimes mocking, posters comments beneath them and you’ve got a website which holds untold hours of joy.

To give you an idea of how this website functions, here are a few of the categories that our evil villainous baddies have been put into; lewd and lascivious, crazy face, aggravated stalking, animals, sex offender, the list goes on and on. I don’t even know what ‘aggravated stalking’ is, and the category of ‘crazy face’ wins 100 bonus points automatically in the randomlinkage point-o-meter. Crazy face!

Favourites include Matthew Souza, who turns into some sort of human muppet upon having his photo taken, Alexis Gadson and Cher-ie Kristinsson, simply for the accompanying text and Matthew Gibeault, for his moustache. Look at the moustache. I imagine that was his defence in court: “Well your Honour, he may have been caught with drug paraphernalia, but look at his tache!”. I’d have let him off.
